Gratten Perea is a seasoned photographer based in New York, NY, whose journey behind the lens began at 15 in his hometown of Bluffdale, Utah. A U.S. Navy veteran, Perea brings a grounded sense of discipline and perspective to his visual storytelling. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Southern Utah University (2021) and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography, Video, and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York City (2023).

His work has been showcased in academic exhibitions and was most recently featured in The Storms Inside, a group exhibition presented by Eyes On Art in 2023. In addition to his fine art practice, Perea has built a diverse freelance portfolio that includes event, portrait, and commercial photography.

Currently serving as a Collections Photographer for the New York Public Library, Perea brings skill, humility, and dedication to his craft—capturing moments with a cinematic eye and a deep commitment to authenticity.
